Welcome to Holyish!
Ever whispered under your breath, "God help me..." only to follow it up by dropping the F-bomb?
Started praying but ended up doomscrolling?
Promised God you'd change-right after one last round of questionable choices?
If you can relate, pull up a chair.
Luckily, for the 2.3 billion Christians on the planet, being saintly isn't the price of entry. Jesus waived that fee when He rocked up 2,000 years ago with the express purpose of wrecking religious norms, showing the world a radically different way to exist, offering salvation to those who couldn't keep the rules (which was—and still is—everyone), and most notably, pulling off the ultimate long game.
But Jesus isn't some cosmic get-out-of-jail-free card. He still calls us to live with meaning—to be mindful, to show up, to keep trying. Not to earn God's love (we already have that), but to respond to it.
Christianity isn't about having it all together. It's about knowing you don’t—and following Jesus anyway.
As a lifelong Christian, I grew tired of keeping my faith in stealth mode out of fear of being labeled a "Jesus freak" or "Bible beater." But in a world where Christianity is too often misinterpreted, misused, misunderstood—and worst of all, politicized—I realized that keeping quiet about my faith outside of church on Sundays isn't going to help change that, and it certainly doesn't help me.
I started this blog because God is amazing and I enjoy spending time building a relationship with Him. So I thought there might be something to share that others might like too.
My goal isn’t to convert everyone who visits this site (but if that happens, extra credit), or impress you with polished devotionals and theological hot takes. This is just me, sharing my walk with God—which at times can be messy, but always be honest, and maybe a bit unorthodox... but hey, even God has a sense of humor.
If you aren’t a believer, are spiritually curious, highly skeptical, or have no idea what you believe, I’m glad you’re here. Maybe something will resonate, maybe not. But either way, I appreciate you visiting and hope you’ll return.
Sincerely,
Cat
